The Guidance Center is a private, non-profit organization offering a variety of mental health, mental retardation and prevention services. The agency, which is located in rural Northwest Pennsylvania, employs approximately 200 staff and presents a variety of services to surrounding counties. The area provides easy access to outstanding recreational facilities including hiking, biking, skiing, boating and hunting.

The Guidance Center has a variety of bachelors and masters level positions in the human services field including the following:


POSITION TITLE: Psychiatrist

LOCATION: 110 Campus Drive , Bradford PA 16701

DUTIES/ REQUIREMENTS: Provide outpatient psychiatric services to children or adults at community-based clinic. Duties include: (1) Evaluate patients with mental, emotional or behavioral disorders; (2) prescribe and administer psychotherapeutic treatments and medications; (3) provide timely and appropriate communication with agencies, referring physicians, patients and families. No on-call duties. Full time position; flexible work schedule could result in 4 day work-week. Potential tuition reimbursement program could cover all existing educational loans. Candidates with J-1 or H-1 visas eligible for position.

Mental Health Therapist to provide community based treatment in homes and schools. Full time and part time positions are available. Work hours include some evenings. Master’s degree in Counseling or related field required. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits available.

Mental Health Therapist to provide treatment in an outpatient setting. Work hours include some evenings. Master’s degree in counseling or related field required. License preferred. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits available.

Therapeutic Staff Support to provide one-to-one support to children with mental health needs. Flexible work schedules with up to 35 hrs per week in the school.
Bachelors in Humans Services, Education or related field, or Associates Degree with 3 years paid work experience with children required. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits available.

Caseworker to provide case management services to adults with serious mental health needs. Full time position with set daytime hours available. Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field required. Competitive Salary and comprehensive benefits available.

Supports Coordinator to locate, coordinate, and monitor services for persons with Intellectual Disabilities. Bachelors degree in human services or education field required. Requires excellent time management, computer, and organizational skills; with ability to travel within McKean County. Min salary $23,600.
