Peer Support Services
Services
- Peer Support Services assists adults with a serious mental illness to direct their own recovery and care.
- Services are provided by a peer specialist who is specialty-trained and is a self-identified current or former consumer of Behavioral Health Services.
- Goals of the Program are to cultivate and enrich a person's life through wellness, recovery education, employment, housing, development of social networks and individual advocacy.
Eligibility
- Individuals with a serious mental health disorder.
- Must be Community Care Behavioral Health eligible.
Location
- Services are provided at a site of the consumer’s choice in McKean County.
Staff
- Trained Peer Specialists providing specialized therapeutic interactions based on the fundamental principles of recovery.
