Peer Support Services

Services

• Peer Support Services assists adults with a serious mental illness to direct their own recovery and care.
• Services are provided by a peer specialist who is specialty-trained and is a self-identified current or former consumer of Behavioral Health Services.
• Goals of the Program are to cultivate and enrich a person's life through wellness, recovery education, employment, housing, development of social networks and individual advocacy.

Eligibility

• Individuals with a serious mental health disorder.
• Must be Community Care Behavioral Health eligible.

Location

• Services are provided at a site of the consumer’s choice in McKean County.

Staff

• Trained Peer Specialists providing specialized therapeutic interactions based on the fundamental principles of recovery.
