This position supports recruitment, onboarding and mentoring of new hires as well as managing background checks and clearances for all new and current employees. This position sits on the Safety Committee and supports the HR department with a variety of audit requests, employee interactions and communication and serves as a backup for payroll and employee benefits.
This position also serves as the primary administrator of the Learning Management System (LMS) and is responsible for all general training-related activities for the agency. This position requires excellent time management/organizational skills and proficiency with managing multiple simultaneous projects, as the duties also include facilitating the agency orientation program, leading learning opportunities, and managing the internship program.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Recruitment
  • Indeed, job fairs and other marketing for recruitment
  • Responsible for posting vacancies internally and overseeing distribution of recruitment advertisements to various sources including newspapers, trade journals and college placement offices.
  • Review with new employees TGC Personnel Policies including Agency Policy on Confidentiality, Drug-Free Workplace, Child Abuse Reporting, Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan, Benefit Time and completing Work Records.
Training & Development
  • Maintain thorough understanding of the LMS platform, provide logistical support for all users as needed, and function as the primary liaison between the agency and the LMS company
  • Design, develop, and facilitate additional learning opportunities including onboarding/orientation and supplemental training activities & events; Maintain up-to-date level of knowledge related to training philosophies, methods, and trends
  • Collaborate with management to identify training needs and skills/knowledge gaps and assist with course selection and training plan development/revision; Provide monthly staff training reports to assigned supervisors
  • Actively seek out guest speakers, nurture professional training collaborations, and market opportunities within the agency and to the community when appropriate
  • Maintain updated training calendar, records, and curriculum database, collect user feedback, and report training-related information to management and Board of Directors
Safety
  • Member of TGC Safety Committee
  • Track and monitor OSHA-related documentation and reporting requirements
  • Assist key management staff with safety-related projects
  • Will oversee Hepatitis B Vaccination Program and other workplace safety issues related to Worker’s Compensation Insurance requirements.
  • Responsible for follow-up to the Executive Director & CFO regarding Safety Compliance issues.
Payroll
  • Supports and backups payroll coordinator
TGC Mentoring
  • Responsible for engaging with new hires during the first 12 months of their employment
Internship Coordinator
  • Responsible for managing all high school and/or college/post graduate internship positions. Oversee internship collaborations, placements, and administrative tasks; Collect data related to internships and report to management and placement coordinator(s)

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, human-services or other relevant degree, 3-5 years’ experience minimum
  • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, comfortable with public speaking and initiating professional relationships, equally proficient at in-person and technology-driven meeting facilitation
  • Strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance required
