The Guidance Center Parents as Teachers Program hosted its First Annual Touch-a-Truck event on Saturday, June 27, in Irvin Park, Curwensville PA. Families were given the opportunity to win any of the gift cards and baskets donated by 25 area businesses and individuals. Families enjoyed refreshments and received dental hygiene supplies donated by Catherman Dental as well as happy meal toys and free ice cream coupons from McDonald’s of Clearfield. Fresh popcorn was provided by Susquehanna Insurance Group, LLC.

This event featured 26 vehicles, including emergency response, construction, transportation, and public works equipment. Children had the chance to explore the vehicles, sit behind the wheel, sound horns, activate lights and sirens, and interact with vehicle operators.

Throughout the event, families connected with The Guidance Center staff to earn more about the Parents as Teachers program, ask questions, and enroll in services.
