The Guidance Center’s staff at the Cameron County Family Center hosted guest speaker, Jodie Guisto who provided the parents in attendance with information about the Northern Pennsylvania Regional College opportunities. Early childhood education and adult education was discussed as it relates to parents being their child’s first most important teacher. Parents as Teachers Group Connections like this provide an opportunity for families to come together to share their parenting experiences, socialize, and for the kids to participate in a related activity, play, and have time interacting with other children in their community.
