The Guidance Center-Parents as Teachers Program and The Early Learning Resource Center-2 hosted a free family Christmas celebration on December 15, 2021. The event was held at the Curwensville Community Center in Clearfield County for families that have young children.

Clearfield County Early Learning Programs were invited to attend and provide information about their agency and services for families. The event was attended by the Intermediate Unit-10, Clearfield Comprehensive Treatment Center, Catholic Charities, Lifeline, and Cen Clear. Each agency provided a giveaway prize basket.

A large, giveaway was done at the end of the event, with each family receiving chances to win a variety of prizes donated by the Walmart Distribution Center 6027, Rainbow Carwash, Papa T’s Pizza, Clearfield Nutrition, Goodman’s Foodliner, Scotto’s Pizza, Sid’s Sub Shop, All State Beimel Agency, Lezzer Reality Group, McDonald’s of Clearfield, Diana and Greg’s Honey, Randy Francisco, and Clearfield Walmart.

Some of the prizes included a 12-volt Jeep ride-on toy, ASUS laptop, Insta Pot, local businesses gift cards, game night basket, pasta/pizza night basket, and a variety of children’s games and toys.

Food was provided by DJ’s Pizza and South Side Subs.

Santa arrived in a fire truck with lights and sirens, driven by the Rescue Hose & Ladder Company of Curwensville. Santa handed out treat boxes to the children and posed for pictures. Each family in attendance was also gifted a family board game.
