The Guidance Center’s Parents as Teachers program is promoting early reading skills by partnering with communities in their service area to display Story Walks.  A featured book is displayed on yard signs that line a walkway in the community.  During a recent visit to Irvin Park in Curwensville, Clearfield County, a family enjoyed reading the featured story Color Monster as they made their way down the walkway to the playground.  As the family read the story, Mom used the opportunity to talk about emotions with the children.
