The Guidance Center’s Parents as Teachers program staff use the SPOT vision screener to support parents’ identification of their child’s vision health. One of the Home Visitors, who recently conducted screenings with 5 children of the families she serves, identified two children who had results indicating a vision concern. The screening is a simple process that uses the SPOT vision screener held a short distance from the child’s eyes and results are immediate.
