In honor of National Parents as Teachers Day, Nov. 8, the Cameron Family Center celebrated with cupcakes and balloons during the Group Connection event held at the center at Woodland Ave. Elementary School.
During snack time the book “If You Give A Pig A Party” was read. After snack time the kids had a chance to play a fun game of parachute.
They all enjoyed trying to see how high they could make the balls fly.
All Group Connection events are open to any family with children not yet in elementary school.
Parents as Teachers Home Visits are free for all families prenatal to kindergarten entry and include a parent child activity, a book, craft, or game that supports learning through play. Screenings are provided for families to track their child’s development in areas of social and emotional learning, gross and fine motor skills, speech, and problem solving/cognitive skills.
