On Monday, June 3, 2024, at the Kane Family Center, Parents as Teachers Home Visitors hosted a Group Connection for families, “Let’s Play Outside and Sun Safety.” Caregivers and children had an opportunity to draw and create art with sidewalk chalk and test a variety of methods for blowing bubbles. Information about the benefits of outdoor play included how to support a child’s concentration and creative play, unstructured play time outside, promotes child development across all domains, and how outdoor play improves strength, stamina, and physical fitness.
