This is Cara and Teddy. They saved and continue to use a campfire prop that they made with their Parents as Teachers Home Visitor over a year ago. During a recent visit, they made a blanket tent, “lit” the campfire, then read their first book from the book/toy incentive program, Love You Smore. Families participating in The Guidance Center’s PAT program will continue to receive books and toys made available due to the Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting grant that supports the program. The PAT activity “Predictable Picture Book” was chosen for this home visit because the family loves to read and make up stories while they sit around their campfire. The book was perfect for this family because they are avid campers!
