Due to funding awarded through the American Rescue Plan, many of The Guidance Center’s Parents as Teachers families were recipients of tablets for their children. PAT Home Visitors delivered the children’s tablets with a related activity and information for parents that provides guidelines for use of electronics. Parents and their children were able to agree on rules for tablet use. Pictured, Joslen and Jaxen now work together to put away toys in their rooms and help with the shopping list instead of asking for toys and other items while in the store. The children earn one hour of tablet time each day for their efforts.
